SEEING YOU
In all my travels to and fro
I see you everyday.
A ray of sunshine becomes your smile;
A gentle breeze becomes your soft and tender
touch.
The plaintive call of a whipporwill becomes your
gentle, broken heart.
The rain becomes your tears, sometimes falling
gently, slowly;
sometimes falling hard--driving down.
The velvety petal of a rose becomes the feel
of your skin, oh so soft,
The blue of the sky, your eyes.
Nature's illusions, tricks of the eyes...I reach
out for you, but you're not there.
So, inward I turn to my heart, and find you there
smiling, waiting in the
special place I keep for you.
In my mind's eye I see you, I touch you, I look
into the depths of your eyes,
I hear your voice; my spirit soars, my soul
rejoices, my heart sings.
Again I have found the part of me I treasure
so much,
Again I feel the joy of your heart, your soul,
your touch.
